Jim Sink is Senior Pastor of Covenant Church. Pastor Jim was born in Philadelphia, but grew up in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. He came to Raleigh in the early '70s to attend N.C. State University. Jim graduated from State in May, 1975 with a degree in Environmental Design and married his wife, Myra, the next day! The Sinks attended Youth With A Mission’s School of Discipleship and served as missionaries in India in 1976. Jim also received training at the Pastoral Training Institute in Mobile, Alabama, and became an ordained minister in 1982. He has served as Senior Pastor of Covenant Church since 1989. Jim and Myra, who is a 1975 graduate of Meredith College, have four children, Aaron, Jenny, Hannah and Anne, and two grandchildren, Zoe and Noah. In December of 2007, Myra "graduated" from this life into eternity with Jesus! What does Pastor Jim like to do for fun? "I enjoy my family, love all kinds of sports, and enjoy reading funny stories and laughing. I also love to go to the beach." |
