Churchwide Fast

We gathered for prayer on New Year’s Eve; the sanctuary was filled with God’s holy presence and He spoke to our hearts about “opening the wells in two thousand and twelve!” In John 4:14, Jesus tells the Samaritan woman, “but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
As we begin this year’s churchwide fast, let‘s ask the Lord to open the well of our hearts to flow with a passion for His presence, a deep craving to reach the lost, a love for His Word, a Spirit-filled faith, and down-to-earth humility. Let’s also pray for great success of our 40 Days In The Word campaign. What does success look like? For the believer, we will grow to love the Word of God, learn the Word of God , and live the Word of God! For our pre- Christian friends, success would be that they are introduced to the Author of the Bible.
